Crossing the Room
Something happened, or nothing has been happening for a while, and you have ended up here.
Most of what you will find searching for this is written by somebody with a place to fill. The pages about whether your teenager needs treatment are written by treatment centres. The pages about what a social skills group involves are written by the people running the group. The pages about whether this is shyness or something more are written by clinics that would assess it.
None of them can afford the sentence that is true most of the time, which is that this is more ordinary than it feels and you probably do not need to buy anything.
This site is written by one person who is selling none of that. It answers the question in the first few sentences, then shows the working. Every figure names its source and the period it was measured over, every page says when its sources were last read, and where there is no reliable number, the page says so instead of inventing one.
There is a section written to your teenager rather than about them. It is there if they find it.
It cannot tell you what is going on with your own child, and it never tries to.
